JP LIVE DRUMS

JP, short for Juan Pablo, embarked on his drumming journey at the age of 14 in Chile, initially trained in music theory on wind instruments. Transitioning from four years of studying and playing the flute, JP's music teacher recognized his natural rhythm-keeping ability and suggested he try the drums. This transition resonated deeply with JP, who discovered an immediate and innate affinity with the instrument. Unique in his approach, JP developed a love for both hand drums and traditional drums played with drumsticks. Drawing inspiration from a wide spectrum of influential drummers across genres like Samba, Bossa Nova, and mainstream rock and pop, JP's musical palette is diverse. Currently, he focuses on fusing Latin beats with contemporary styles such as house and tech music, defining his current artistic direction and infusing his performances with a distinctive flavor. With a diverse portfolio and evident pride in his work, JP actively participates in a variety of events, showcasing his versatility and adaptability as a musician. Whether it's an intimate gathering or a grand-scale event, JP's drumming brings a unique and dynamic energy to every performance he undertakes.
