YANA WELLS

Yana Wells is a Gold Coast–born violinist who began playing at the age of six and received classical training under Austrian-trained violinist Victoria Lakatos. A full Music Scholarship student at All Saints Anglican School, she earned her Associate of Music Australia (A.Mus.A) at just 16 and led the award-winning All Saints Anglican Chamber Orchestra to the National Premier Division title at the Australian Music Fest. She later studied at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music under the late John Curro AM MBE and continues to perform with the Northern Rivers Symphony Orchestra.

In 2024, Yana founded Estrella Strings, an all-female Gold Coast string ensemble that has quickly become a sought-after choice for weddings and corporate events. The group has been featured in the *Gold Coast Bulletin*, performed live on ABC Radio and the Triple M stage at the Gold Coast Show, and appeared at many of the region's premier events. Alongside her music career, Yana is also a graphic and web designer and owner of a successful art print business.
