Dimity Shepherd is an acclaimed Australian mezzo-soprano and WAAPA graduate known for her vivid stage presence and remarkable versatility. She made her professional debut with Opera Australia as Rosina in The Barber of Seville, earning glowing reviews, and has since performed a wide range of leading roles with major companies including Victorian Opera, Opera Queensland, Melbourne Opera, and Chamber Made Opera. Her repertoire spans from Mozart, Handel, and Gluck to Sondheim, new Australian works, and contemporary chamber opera, with standout performances in Orphée & Eurydice, Through the Looking Glass, Midnight Son, Lorelei, and The Ghost Wife.
Celebrated by critics for her dramatic intensity and vocal brilliance, Shepherd has received multiple Green Room Award nominations, including a win for her 2013 Cherubino. She has appeared in prominent festivals in Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney, and London, and her concert work includes performances with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and Royal Melbourne Philharmonic.
