JOSH PITERMAN

Josh Piterman is a celebrated singer, actor, podcaster, and speaker, renowned for being the first Australian to play both Jean Valjean in Les Misérables and The Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera on London’s West End. His major theatrical credits include Tony in West Side Story (2010), Bustopher Jones/Gus/Growltiger in Cats (2015/16)—a role that earned him a Green Room Award—Corny Collins in Hairspray (UK tour), and Gerry Goffin in Beautiful: The Carole King Musical (2017/18). He reprised his iconic role as The Phantom in the 2022/23 Australian production of The Phantom of the Opera.


Beyond the stage, Josh has performed at some of Australia’s most prestigious events, including Carols by Candlelight, Australia Day Live at the Sydney Opera House, and sporting spectacles like the MCG Boxing Day Test, Bledisloe Cup, and State of Origin. He also captivated audiences with his performance of Music of the Night at the Australian Open Tennis Finals.
