It was a party that stopped the nation. One of the best in the world… if not the universe!
High flying VIPs were taken on an intergalactic themed trip in the Penfold’s marquee this Melbourne Cup Carnival.
It was the winemaker’s big debut in the Birdcage and Beck was chosen to make some noise on Derby Day, Oaks Day, Stakes Day and Cup Day.
Beck DJ’s Andy Murphy, NaNa Muse and Emma P had every wannabe Armstrong in orbit with their sets. StyledByBloom and StyledbyRamzy had the girls looking like they’d been sent from the heavens.
Guests gravitated towards Aussie sweetheart, Rob Mills who left them starry-eyed with his impromptu performances. While the ‘Lunar Crooner’, Mike Snell and his entourage of dancers serenaded the audience throughout the carnival.
The marquee theme, ‘Venture Beyond’ saw attendees passage through the journey of a lunar eclipse; beginning in the ‘Glasshouse’, then the ‘Central Bar’, followed by ‘Total Eclipse’ and finally ‘Outer Space’. There was even a real-life astronaut there to take lucky ladies and gentlemen on the journey.
Thankfully the menu was worlds better than traditional, liquified space fare. Guests were treated to delicious canapés created by Chef, Scott Huggins.
A total eclipse of food, fashion and fabulous music!
